From March 2025 onwards, Minecraft will stop supporting any VR device

Last month, Mojang announced the end of the line for Minecraft compatibility with the PlayStation VR. It seems this won't be just a Sony thing, and the rest of peripherals will sufter the same fate.

Indeed, patch 1.21.40 will remove support for the game with all virtual reality and mixed reality headsets in March 2025. However, all purchases and versions will still be available on non-VR/MR devices.

The only way to play Minecraft in VR will be via the Vivecraft mod for the Java edition.
