XDefiant is in danger because lack of players

Shortly after its launch in May, XDefiant surpassed the 11 million players mark. It was a great start, yes, but the game has quickly run out of steam.

The Insider Gaming site has stated in an article that the number of players of the game has dropped sharply. As a result, Ubisoft has given the developers an ultimatum. The game must recover with the roll-out of Season 3, or else, XDefiant is going the way of the dodo.

Sadly, this third season is due around the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. A source contacted by Insider Gaming is really pessimistic about this whole affair, and has stated that we can expect "more Ubisoft San Fran layoff headlines within six months."

Back in August 19, the division already lost 45 employees.
