NetEase will close Ouka Studios (Visions of Mana)

Ouka Studios may not be a household name, but it's a great studio run by NetEase that recently worked with Square Enix on Visions of Mana.

Sadly, the devs won't get to celebrate this week's new release. Indeed, Bloomberg reports that NetEase has cut "almost all jobs" at the company, all with the short-term aim to close the studio for good. To job cuts began last spring.

This decision is part of a wider plan that sees NetEase slowing down its investments in Japan, as the Chinese giant is reportedly disappointed with the sales of their games from the country.
