More bad news for the video game industry: Ubisoft is laying off 45 people at two of its U.S. studios.
The studios concerned are Ubisoft San Francisco and Cary, which worked on games such as XDefiant and Rocksmith.
A Ubisoft spokeperson has stated that the decision was "difficult but necessary*, explaining that it was done to align the organization of the studios with the company's future commercial and development objectives.
