Ubisoft lays off 33 people at its Toronto studio

Ubisoft Toronto, the studio in charge of the ambitious remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time due for release in 2026, has decided to let go of part of its workforce.
In a press release, the company has announced the layoff of 33 people in order to "conduct a targeted realignment to ensure it can deliver on its ambitious roadmap".
Ubisoft has promised to provide severance packages and hiring assistance to those affected.
