At the end of the year, on October 31 to be precise, manufacturer Hori will be releasing a Valve-licensed controller designed for Steam, though focused all for the Japanese market. It will retail for ¥7,980, which would be 46 € / $50.
The controller will be available in four colors: Neon Yellow, Luminous Violet, Shiny White and Midnight Black. The fact that this controller is being released exclusively in Japan is no coincidence, and it responds to an intriguing development in the Steam Controller market there, and marks an effort on Valve's part to win over the Japanese public.
The controller features two high-precision analog sticks and a gyroscope. You can use it via Bluetooth or cable. It also features four programmable buttons, a Steam button and a Quick Access one.
