The cancellation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in January 2026 was a real heartbreaker for fans of the franchise. Ubisoft had decided to scrap the project as part of a major corporate restructuring.
However, it has been reported that development was nearly complete. In fact, the release was scheduled for less than two months later, around late March 2026. Now, an anonymous internet user is willing to do whatever it takes to save the game through a financial proposal made directly to the publisher.
This person intends to donate 5 million euros to Ubisoft as private funding. The sole purpose of this is to complete production and enable the release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. This mysterious donor does not wish to make any profit, receive any stake, or even interfere creatively. They now hope to contact Ubisoft through an official channel to present their proposal.
