No, Arrowhead Game Studios (Helldivers 2) has not been acquired by Sony

Here's a rumor that has been circulating for several hours. A supposed insider named Haothors claimed on X.com that Arrowhead Game Studios had just been bought out by PlayStation. The decision was prompted by the success of Helldivers 2.

The studio's CEO was quick to point out that the rumour is simply false, and that the company is still fully independent.

It should be noted that this "insider" immediately deleted his X.com account. He was also the source of some (doubtless erroneous) information about a supposed PC version of Ghost of Tsushima. It remains to be seen whether the latter actually exists.
