Maxis to introduce multiplayer to The Sims 5

Known under the code name "Project Rene", the next game in the The Sims saga is back in the news this week. As well as opting for a free-to-play format, the fifth entry is set to get a multiplayer mode.

Indeed, Lyndsay Pearson, vice-president in charge of creation for the saga, said she wanted to "introduce multiplayer" in The Sims 5. However, this would not be large-scale one, but rather an experience between friends. No specific examples have yet been given.
