Final Fantasy IX remake resurfaces

The week ends with a pretty big rumor. As always, we encourage you to take the following information with a grain of salt. It comes once again from an insider on the ResetEra Forum who already leaked Kingdom Hearts IV and Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to PC.

According to their information, Final Fantasy IX Remake isn’t due for release for at least another two years, and isn’t planned to release on Nintendo Switch. It should come as no surprise, really, as we are due for new hardware in the coming months from the Japanese manufacturer.

The insider also points out that Sony seems to be heavily involved with this project, and therefore Final Fantasy IX could be exclusive to the PS5 (although there is no proof to this yet). The game appeared almost two years ago on the GeForce Now leaks list.
