Over 65,000 simultaneous players for Street Fighter 6 Steam version

A few hours after launch, the sixth entry in the Street Fighter saga seems to have already become one of the most popular fighting games of recent years. The initial figures for the Steam version are clear… It’s definitely a success for Capcom.

Street Fighter 6 reached a record 65,873 concurrent players on Steam, with surely more to come over the next few days. The fifth episode in the series is already a long way behind, with 14,783 players. Mortal Kombat 11 reached 35,147, Tekken 7 18,966 and Mortal Kombat X, 15,743.

While we’ll obviously have to wait for Capcom to comment on sales figures to gauge the full extent of its success, Street Fighters 6 is well on the way to becoming a real hit.
