Bungie is working on a new license in addition to Destiny 2 and Marathon

Bungie’s developers are hard at work. The American studio keeps working on Destiny 2, with “The Final Form”, its latest expansion, getting the spotlight on August 22. In addition, the studio unveiled Marathon at past week’s PlayStation Showcase, their newest PvP project.

On top of that, Bungie may be working on a completely new IP. Or so it seems from the job openings that figure on the company web page. Bungie is working on a more upbeat and humorous game with competitive elements as well as “lighthearted and whimsical” characters. It will be a GAAS powered by Unreal Engine 5.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, shall we? The game is at the early stages of development, and it may be canceled before we know anything more about it. It’s a pretty common occurrence in the industry.
