With Battlefield 6, Steam players won't have to go through the EA App

The least we can say is that Battlefield 6 is dominating the news this week. Following the multiplayer presentation yesterday, EA published an FAQ that answers several questions.

Let's start with some good news! Steam players won't need to use the EA App to play Battlefield 6. However, an EA account will still be required. On the other hand, the EA App will be necessary for PC users who go through the Epic Games Store.

Finally, the developers also specify that there is currently no support for the Steam Deck for Battlefield 6.
