More details on Battlefield 6: multiplayer, beta, release date and PC specs
, by Thibaut
Electronic Arts has pulled out all the stops for the reveal of Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode. It will feature nine different maps when the game is released.
We got two new videos for the occasion. The first gives a quick overview of all that's coming to multiplayer, and the second takes the time to show the combat, weapons, and destruction of the environments.
In addition, the American publisher has also revealed some very important information about the sixth entry in the franchise. The release date has been set for October 10, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. There are no plans for a Switch 2 version. For now, the developers want to focus on the platforms where "the core Battlefield audience" is.
As for the beta, there are two separate ones planned. The first will take place from August 7 to 8 and is only for those who have got a code via Twitch Drops or Battlefield Labs. From August 9 to 10, this beta will be open to everyone on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Then, a second open beta will take place from August 14 to 17. Here are the technical specifications for this trial version on PC.
