Sony talks about a potential Astro Bot movie and the Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation

Last January, Sony confirmed the production of a feature film based on the video game Horizon Zero Dawn. In a recent interview with Variety, PlayStation Productions boss Asad Qizilbash made a small revelation on the matter.

He stated that a Horizon series was in development with Netflix, but that it wasn't going in the direction Sony wanted creatively speaking. In the end, they decided to make a film instead.

In addition, Qizilbash announced that he and his teams are considering a feature film adaptation of Astro Bot. Such an adaptation would make sense, since Team Asobi's title was named Game of the Year in 2024.
