Valorant abandons the episodic model and goes for a seasonal content
, by Thibaut
Riot Games has decided to revise its model for releasing new content for Valorant. The competitive tactial FPS will stop featuring an episodic calendar.
Instead, we are getting seasons. Each one will last a year and be divided into six acts of two months each. Anna Donlon, the head of the game's development, explains that this change has been made to adjust the pace of new content.
What's more, this seasonal system over a full year fits in perfectly with the eSport aspect of Valorant, as the Champions Tour is also spread over a year. Riot will be announcing several gameplay changes and fixes in the coming days.
Last but not least, Valorant Mobile will get a new update very soon.
