Valorant will soon be running to Unreal Engine 5

We now know for sure: Valorant is switching to Unreal Engine 5. The announcement was made by Anna Donlan, who heads the studio responsible for the game.

"We have squeezed literally everything we could get out of UE4, so now we make the move to UE5, and that's not an easy feat when your game is a live service game, but it is necessary."

Donlan added that this won't change the game's graphics or performance that much, or at least not for now.

Finally, we also learn that Riot Games is working on "new playable experiences" that aim to expand the Valorant universe.
