Alan Wake 2 has yet to recover developement costs

Remedy Entertainment has recently talked about its various current projects and the commercial performance of “Alan Wake 2”.

The Finnish studio's CEO, Tero Virtala, revealed that most of the development and marketing costs have been covered. However, the game has yet to “generate royalties” since its release in October 2023.

Meanwhile, “FBC: Firebreak,” scheduled for release in 2025, is in full production. The developers are currently working on the game's core loop and UI implementation. All of this will go through several iterations, depending on feedback from testers.

Finally, production of Control 2 is still in the pipeline and development of Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is in full swing. No release date has been given.
