Microsoft drops its HoloLens 2 plans
, by Thibaut
Microsoft won't be continuing with its VR adventure. The American company has decided to throw in the towel and stop the production of the HoloLens 2.
Priced from €3,849 and mainly dedicated to business users, this model will stop getting software support as of December 31, 2027. Until then, the HoloLens 2 will be entitled to "updates to resolve critical security issues and software regressions".
As for the first HoloLens, its support will end on December 10, 2024. In short, HoloLens 3, which had been the talk of the town for several months, will never see the light of day.
