From now on, Minecraft will get several free updates a year

Mojang is making some changes to how Minecraft works over the coming months.

In terms of pure content, the game will no longer get a single major update per year, but rather several patches of varying size.

We also learn that there's a native PS5 version is in development. The Minecraft Live event will be held twice a year. Finally, the "mob vote", which allowed the community to vote to add PnJs to the game, will be no longer, as the devs want to replace it with something new.
