Helldivers 2 gets review bombed

Owning a PlayStation Network account will soon be mandatory if you want to keep playing Helldivers 2 on PC. The two accounts will have to be linked from May 6 for newcomers and June 4 for the rest.

Needless to say, this hasn't sit well with most of the community, which has taken some steps to make their voice heard. The game has been review bombed on Steam, with reviews over the past 30 days being rather negative, with only 33% of the 117.000 being positive. The game now has average reviews.

This has prompted Johan Plestedt, the president of Arrowhead Game Studios, to post some apologies on X.com.

"Well, I guess it's warranted. Sorry everyone for how this all transpired. I hope we will make it up and regain the trust by providing a continued great game experience. I just want to make great games!"
