Vicarious Visions worked on a Donkey Kong game and wanted to make Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4

We've recently got some very interesting details about Vicarious Visions. The studio just regained its independence this year, and is now free from Activision's yoke.
Video game historian Liam Robertson has reported some unknown facts about Vicarious Visions. It seems the American company had intended to include Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 in the franchise's collection, but due to a lack of time, the devs chose to focus on the first two and leave the rest to another game.
According to Robertson, this wasn't to the taste of Activision, and the project ended up being rejected. The publisher probably wanted to see Vicarious Visions focus on Call of Duty and finish their work on Diablo II: Resurrected.
BUt that's not all. Vicarious Visions worked for a while on a project codenamed "Freedom". This was a 3D Donkey Kong game for the switch, and Miyamoto has involved.
Sadly, it ended up being cancelled in 2016, just sixt months after the game started being developed. Why? Activision wanted to focus on its core business, Call of Duty.
