Fallout London mod has been delayed following announcement of Fallout 4 nex-gen update
, by Thibaut
Expected to be released on April 23, the Fallout London mod has been delayed until further notice. The reason for this is the PS5 / Xbox Series upgrade for Fallout 4, which will land on April 25.
In a video, the team responsible for the mod declared that "our last four years of work will simply shatter" with the release of Bethesda Game Studios' patch. The patch will effectively render hundreds of mods unusable, including the Fallout 4 Script Extender (or F4SE), which handles all dialogue systems in Fallout London. All this will have an impact on quests and the skill system too.
So, when the update is released by Bethesda, the London developers will have to make major changes. Given that the team is made up of volunteers, it is not yet possible to say how many days or months will be needed to make these corrections.
Finally, it should be noted that Fallout London won't be available on consoles. The mod is simply too massive... so it won't be hosted by Nexus Mods on PC either. It will be hosted by GOG instead. It should also be pointed out that, after almost ten years' work, the developers of Fallout London have never been contacted by Bethesda, which won't make for a smooth launch, either.
