The PS2 has sold 160 million units

This week was Jim Ryan's last as CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, and to mark his departure, the now former PlayStation president made an appearance on the brand's official podcast to talk about his career.
During the interview, Ryan looked back on the PS2 era, pointing out that the machine has sold 160 million units worldwide since its launch back in 2000. The latest figures were 155 million.
To this day, the PlayStation 2 remains the best-selling console in history. It remains to be seen whether the Switch will manage to overtake it, since Nintendo's machine is currently around 140 million sales worldwide.
