CD Projekt doesn't rule out microtransactions for their multiplayer games
, by Thibaut
CD Projekt is working on several games, including a new single-player The Witcher, a multiplayer one, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and a brand-new IP.
In an interview with StockWatch.pl, Piotr Nielubowicz, the Polish company's CFO, spoke about including microtransactions into their future games.
"We do not see a place for microtransactions in the case of single-player games, but we do not rule out that we will use this solution in the future in the case of multiplayer projects."
For example, Project Sirius, the multiplayer The Witcher game, could serve as a test case for CD Projekt when it comes to including microtransactions.
