A new bug prevents players from getting the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth platinum
, by Thibaut
The latest update to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth seems to have introduced a pretty fatal bug for die-hard fans. Indeed, Kotaku reports that we are no longer able to get the title's platinum trophy.
The score obtained in the G-Bike arcade game simulator does not register correctly, and it's impossible to beat the required record and get the reward.
Owners of the physical verion of the game can get around the problem by uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it without connecting the console to the Internet, making it so that the latest patch isn't installed. Then you just need to load a save with a checkpoint before the bug in question was encountered.
However, there's no solution yet to those who own Final Fantasy VII Rebirth digitally. You'll have to wait.
