After restructuring, Embracer plans to lay low on acquisitions for a while

During a conference with investors, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors announced that the company's restructuring plan is coming to an end.

During such a difficult process, the Swedish firm laid off 1,300 people, cancelled almost 30 games and closed several studios, including Free Radical, Saber Interactive and Gearbox Software.

The Embracer CEO was still questioned by shareholders about potential future acquisitions. In response, the company's CEO stated that "it's far too early to start talking about an upturn in mergers and acquisitions".

Wingefors also pointed out that Embracer is "in the final stages of reflection" concerning its future. The main objective for the time being is to increase profits and replenish cash "simply by creating better games".
