Embracer Group sells Saber Interactive for $500 million

As we know too well, Embracer Group is looking to save money. After a number of closures and redundancies, the Swedish firm is selling off one of its biggest studios.

Saber Interactive is to come under the control of a group of investors in a deal valued at $500 million. The American company, owned by Embracer since 2020, will thus return to private ownership.

This imposing studio, which employs some 3,500 people, is currently working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake and Jurassic Park Survival. It is also responsible for World War Z and the Switch port of The Witcher 3.
