According to Peter Moore, former Microsoft and EA executive, the future of Xbox is under discussion
, by Quentin
In an interview with IGN, Peter Moore, who has worked for Microsoft and Electronic Arts, shared some interesting thoughts.
In particular, he addressed the future of Xbox consoles, claiming that it's currently the subject of discussions, just as they are at Nintendo and Sony. In his view, this situation is normal and perfectly natural when a new generation of consoles is about to be launched.
According to him, exclusives will disappear in the next generation, at least as far as the Xbox is concerned. Peter Moore believes that Microsoft will return to its roots as a software and services company. He also believes that Xbox could focus entirely on cloud gaming, while Sony will remain strongly hardware-focused.
In any case, Microsoft will have the last word. We'll have to wait and see what they announce in the next few years.
