A week before its launch on PS5, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a hit with the specialized press. Square Enix's game has indeed achieved a Metacritic score of 93% (based on 119 reviews).
The game thus achieves the second-highest average of the entire franchise. Only Final Fantasy IX did better with a 94%. However, this ninth game has only 22 reviews on its Metacritic page.
