Microsoft Gaming President Phil Spencer questions PS5 exclusivity for Helldivers 2

After Palworld, Helldivers 2 is the must-have game of the new year. So much so that Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's gaming division, couldn't avoid the subject in an interview with Game File.

Indeed, Spencer questioned the reasons for keeping Arrowhead's console title exclusive to the PS5.

"I have to say, when I look at a game like Helldivers 2 - and it's a great game, kudos to the team that put it out on PC and PlayStation - I'm not sure who it helps in our industry not to have it on Xbox. But I understand. There's a habit in the console games market that we welcome certain games and don't offer them on other machines. We do the same thing."

It should be remembered that Microsoft is seeking to emancipate itself more and more from exclusivity by offering four of its former exclusives on competing consoles.
