Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake no longer in development

There's probably nothing more to look forward to with the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake announced at the PlayStation Showcase in September 2021. Originally produced by Aspyr, the title was then transferred to Saber Interactive in August 2022.

During a Twitch broadcast on the GiantBomb website, journalist and insider Jeff Grubb stated that development of the game had been completely halted.

"I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now. Just full stop. This Game is not being workend on in any way, at any studio", said the insider.

It remains to be seen whether this is an outright cancellation or a pause until another studio can be found to take on the project.
