The PS5 sells extremely well
, by Thibaut
With almost 45 million units sold, the PlayStation 5 has had an extremely prolific first three years, even leading the market in terms of units sold and dollars generated in October 2023.
Also, in its first 36 months, only the PS2 had done better. The PS5 is the second best-selling machine in Sony's history over such a period. It is followed by the PS4, the first PlayStation, and the PS3 closes the gap.
Sales could rise yet even further with the launch of the PS5 Slim this month.
