Cities: Skylines II had a troubled launch due to performance issues

As Studio Colossal Order had warned, Cities: Skylines II is indeed affected by performance issues on PC. At the time of writing, only 48% of the 9041 Steam reviews are positive.

In a press release, however, the developers made it clear that "performance is not a decisive factor for gamers". While improvements in this area are indeed on the pipeline, it is not a top priority right now.

In the meantime, Colossal Order recommends lowering the definition to 1080p, deactivating depth of field and volumetry, and reducing global illumination to achieve better performance.
