Marvel's Wolverine sold 2.4 million copies in its first 50 days

With Insomniac Games' new PS5-exclusive title having been out for nearly two months, its first-50-day sales figures were revealed during the release of PlayStation's financial results.

Marvel's Wolverine has sold a total of 2.4 million copies. While this is a satisfactory result overall, it falls short of the performance of the studio’s previous title, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which sold 5 million copies in just 10 days. By comparison, other PS5 exclusives such as Ghost of Yotei have sold 3.3 million copies since launch (October 2025).

Nevertheless, the title still managed to become the best-selling game of September 2026, even surpassing games like EA FC 27 and Wardogs, and contributed significantly to the company’s revenue for the quarter.

In terms of reviews, it’s worth noting that Marvel’s Wolverine received a fairly average reception from the gaming press: 75 on Metacritic and 76 on OpenCritic. The gaming community, however, rated the game more highly: 6.7 on Metacritic, 8.0 on OpenCritic, and 9.26 on the PS Store.
