Bend Studio (Days Gone) is expected to announce and possibly release its new game in 2027
, by Thibaut
Back in 2019, Bend Studio released its most recent game, Days Gone. Despite its commercial success, with over 9 million copies sold, the title is not expected to have a sequel. Sony has never given the green light for the production of a second installment.
In January 2025, the studio saw its GAAS project canceled by PlayStation (along with Bluepoint Games’ project). Another title is currently in development, and according to MP1st, the major reveal will take place in 2027.
It is reportedly a third-person game with a co-op mode. However, it will likely not be a GAAS. We don’t know whether it will be a new franchise or not, but it seems certain that this title is not Days Gone 2.
Finally, the game is reportedly set to be not only unveiled but also released as early as 2027. As always, things are subject to change, so take this with a grain of salt.
