Sony has cancelled two more GAAS, including one based on God of War from BluePoint Games

The future looks pretty uncertain for two PlayStation studios. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has reported the cancellation of yet two more GAAS projects.

The first one was a God of War that was in development at Bluepoint Games. We also learn that the studio responsible for theDemon's Souls remake is said to have helped Santa Monica Studio with God of War Ragnarök betwen 2020 and 2022. It's unclear what Bluepoint will work on in the wake of this cancellation.

The second GAAS project that has ended up being cancelled is from Bend Studio, the fathers of Days Gone. Keep in mind that Sony refused to greenligh a sequel. A representative of the Japanese company clarified that the two studios won't close, and that the manufacturer is working closely with them to determine their future projects. That said, we can't rule out future redundancies.

Sony has reiterated time and time again its intention to balance both single-player and live-service games. However, the catastrophic failure of Concord has left its mark, forcing the company to evaluate the games in development.
