A port of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) may be in the works

Last summer, Activision decided to release PlayStation and Xbox ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. These were the original games with a few graphical touches to better suit modern platforms. These were not true remasters.

Since the commercial success was overwhelming, the American publisher might repeat the experience with another iconic installment in its FPS series. As such, the Australian classification board rated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) on October 1. No platform is listed for this entry.

So, while we should take this with a grain of salt, Modern Warfare 2 could soon be making a comeback on current-generation consoles.
