Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 are likely to be ported to the current generation

Activision is preparing to bring back two iconic entries from the Call of Duty license. These titles are expected to land on current-generation machines in the near future.

It's in Australia that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) have been listed. The former is displayed as a “PS5 Cross-Gen Edition”, while the latter is not specifically mentioned.

It's safe to assume that both FPSs will appear on the PS5 and Xbox Series in the near future, with optimizations to match.
