Yet another key player in the industry has undergone a major restructuring. Electronic Arts has decided to shut down BioWare, cancel the next Mass Effect, and lay off 400 employees.
Now, Bloomberg has revealed in an article that Respawn Entertainment and DICE are collaborating on a new installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series. Additionally, the website Insider Gaming reports that the next Battlefield has entered the early stages of development. It is not expected to be released until late 2028 at the earliest.
For now, EA has not confirmed this information. It should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
