Bungie will detail its plan to reintroduce content to Destiny 2 later this month

Bungie will soon take action to bring Destiny 2 back. As a first step, the American studio plans to reintroduce content that had been removed in the past. We’ll learn more about this in the coming days.

On X, Josh Deane, a product manager at Bungie, responded to players eager for information on this topic.

"The next is, I know there are a lot of questions on the how, what, when of unvaulting. Including any potential future updates to D2 and what’s beyond for Destiny. There’s going to be a very intentional process for all of it that will take time."

He then added that his teams will announce the first phase as early as late October. The studio won’t reveal a traditional roadmap, but rather a step-by-step progress bar of sorts. The community will be directly involved in this process.

"And just be transparent about any challenges we run into and show you the proof of work along the way that unlocks further understanding. That way when we share a release date we’re all on the same page and have the right expectations that leads directly into how we'll further celebrate Destiny's legacy and vision for the future."
