The latest update for the NVIDIA App enables AI agents by default to adjust several settings

The NVIDIA App just got version 11.0.9.565 on our computers this week. In addition to a few improvements, this update primarily introduces a feature based on artificial intelligence.

By default, the NVIDIA App now allows AI agents to control it via the MCP protocol. For example, they can adjust a game’s graphics settings based on your system’s hardware or automatically enable Shadowplay to record gameplay sessions. Additionally, this tool can check your driver version to apply recommended updates and manage laptop performance using Whisper Mode and Battery Boost. Hermes, OpenClaw, and Perplexity are the agents currently supported.

Of course, you can disable all of this by going to Settings in the NVIDIA App and then unchecking Allow AI agents to control the NVIDIA App.
