Microsoft says Windows 11 is now up to 20% faster when multitasking

Microsoft has shared some great news for PC gamers running Windows 11. The American company says the performance of its operating system has been boosted.

The information comes from Navjot Virk, vice president of Windows Experiences, in a post on the company’s official blog. According to her, all computers running this OS now benefit from a performance boost. This boost is most noticeable on PCs with only 8 GB of RAM.

As a result, responsiveness has improved by up to 20% for features such as the Start menu, File Explorer, Search, and Settings. To free up memory, Windows 11 has optimized certain tasks, such as loading Widgets only when needed. This is expected to save approximately 200 MB of RAM.

It remains to be seen whether these improvements will be noticeably evident on our computers.
