Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition will be temporarily removed from sale by SEGA

Released just two days ago, Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition finds itself in a... disastrous situation and will be temporarily removed from sale by SEGA. Numerous bugs, mediocre graphics, and performance issues are severely marring the experience.

In fact, players have reported a vast number of issues. On Steam alone, the game has a 16% positive rating, corresponding to an « extremely negative » sentiment. This ranks among the lowest scores on Valve’s entire platform.

The team behind the title acknowledges the situation and admits that the game has failed to meet either players’ expectations or the company’s own standards. While it is being removed from sale, the original game will be made available again so that players don’t have to sit idly by.

« We are aware that Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition has not met your expectations or our own standards. We have seen your comments, reviews, and feedback. We agree that the current experience is not where it should be. As a result, we are working with platform holders to remove the game from sale and restore the original game while we investigate the issues. Existing owners will still be able to access and play the game. We are working closely with our development partner to identify the causes of these issues, make improvements, and ensure that Shogun 2 – Complete Edition meets the quality standards players expect from Total War. »
