Arkane Lyon's future will still be up in the air until the end of the year

As part of its announcement of a major reset last July, Xbox had mentioned its intention to part ways with several studios. That list notably included Arkane Lyon, the developer behind Deathloop and currently working on Marvel’s Blade.
This week, the American company detailed its second wave of layoffs and studio mergers, while mentioning the French team only very briefly. It was merely stated that discussions with Arkane are ongoing and are expected to continue through the end of the year.
As a result, we still don’t know what will become of this highly regarded team in the gaming industry. A takeover, a spin-off, or a simple closure remain possibilities for now.
