The consultation period regarding Arkane Studios' future has been extended by one month

In the latest article on the matter, we learned that the mandatory consultation between Arkane Lyon and Microsoft would last until November 13, 2026. The goal is to find a favorable outcome for the French studio and its 217 employees.
Ultimately, it was through a press release sent to PC Gamer that Xbox announced that this negotiation period had been extended by one month. The decision on whether or not to close the studio is therefore expected on December 13. The goal is also to save Marvel’s Blade from cancellation.
"We have extended the consultation period by one additional month as we explore options, including finding a partner to support the studio through the development work still ahead. This is a defined extension, and we remain committed to keeping the Works Council informed throughout the process."
To avoid disappearing, Arkane will need to find a buyer or be able to secure its independence.
