Capcom has been speaking at length about Monster Hunter Wilds lately. The Japanese publisher is preparing for the release of the Ascendance expansion in 2027, as well as the Switch 2 version, scheduled for December 4.
Now, we’re learning the technical details of this port for the Nintendo console. When docked, Monster Hunter Wilds will offer two distinct modes. One will prioritize visual quality with a resolution of 2240 x 1260 at 30 FPS, while the other will prioritize performance at 1920 x 1080 at 30 FPS. The frame rate will remain much more stable with this second option.
Finally, there will be a single display option in handheld mode with a resolution of 1536 x 864 pixels at 30 FPS. Ray tracing will not be available in any of these modes.
