(Spoilers!) Marvel's Wolverine gets a gameplay clip that's been compared to... Crash Bandicoot 3

Since the publication of reviews by the gaming press, Marvel's Wolverine has been the subject of all kinds of criticism. Internet users are pointing out the shortcomings of Insomniac Games' title with the clips shared on social media.

In addition to highlighting the game’s apparent simplicity due to its linearity and numerous on-screen prompts, players have picked apart a sequence in which the superhero chases enemies on a motorcycle. This segment appears to suffer from significant rigidity, somewhat haphazard collisions, and absolute linearity yet again.

That was all it took for this clip to be compared to the motorcycle sequences in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, released in 1998 on PlayStation. Some of Wolverine’s animations even bear a striking resemblance to that of Crash. Of course, this in no way reflects the overall quality of Marvel’s Wolverine. This is an isolated sequence, and we don’t know how long it lasts. Improvements could also be made through future updates.

Marvel's Wolverine launches this Tuesday, September 15, 2026, on PS5.
