The STARCRAFT narrative shooter will have a beginning and an end, with no seasonal content at all

It's official now: StarCraft is coming back! This will be an open-world shooter expected on PC and XBOX in 2030. Of course, we currently have little to no information about this project led by Dan Hay, former director on the Far Cry franchise.
However, Hay has clarified the game's structure. It will empasize storytelling, and we will be able to customize our character's appearance. Don't go and expect an online game with seasonal content: the story will have a beginning and an end.
"If I were to describe the overall structure we currently envision, it's a 'box product. It is a narrative-driven open world shooter where players create a character, name them, and follow that character's story. The story has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
You can roam around and explore a rich open world, but our story has a definitive ending. Think of it as purchasing a standalone boxed game, playing it, and experiencing its story. We hope players enjoy it, love it, and return to us later. At the very least, what we are building right now is not a seasonal game."
In addition, players will be free to explore the world around them and take part in side activities. These activities will help improve the character and make them more powerful.
"If you lack adequate gear, you can head out into the world, scavenge for what you need, deck out your armor, and try again. I like wandering around slowly, exploring, discovering new things, and encountering unexpected turns."
What's more, the events of this STARCRAFT shooter take place 70 years after those of StarCraft 2.
