DOOM: a new installment is reportedly in production
, by Thibaut
It has been a very hard week for the video game industry. XBOX has suffered heavy losses, and several studios have been sold or have regained their independence.
Among the hardest-hit developers, id Software tops the list. Nevertheless, the Texas-based company sought to reassure players by stating that it still has the necessary resources to create its own games.
Journalist Tom Warren of The Verge took the opportunity to reveal that a new DOOM has entered the early stages of production. It is, of course, still too early to have more specific information on this subject.
Finally, it’s also worth noting that id Software’s Frankfurt office has lost 6 of its 12 employees. The remaining staff are continuing their work on the id Tech engine.
